About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Interior Designer capable of autonomously handling client interactions, design development, technical documentation, material selection, and overseeing on-site project execution. The ideal professional will blend strong creative visualization talents with solid technical expertise, confidently guiding clients through the full spectrum of design decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage client discussions to identify needs relating to function, aesthetics, and budget.
Convert client requirements into innovative, practical design solutions that are executable.
Effectively present design concepts and support clients in making informed, constructive decisions.
Coordinate activities among clients, contractors, vendors, consultants, and site teams for smooth project flow.
Perform site visits to address design, technical, and execution challenges promptly.
Advise clients on selections related to materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and color schemes.
Create balanced color palettes and coherent interior design concepts.
Supervise quality control, ensure design intent preservation, monitor timelines, and oversee site implementation.
Deliver timely solutions for any issues arising during project phases.

Technical Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD for preparing detailed working drawings including furniture layouts, floor plans, sectional details, reflected ceiling plans, lighting plans, conduit plans, flooring and ceiling layouts, wall elevations, joinery details, and interior details such as kitchen and wardrobe drawings.
Experienced in using SketchUp for 3D visualization and design concept development.

Candidate Requirements

Educational background in Interior Design or Architecture.
At least 5 years of professional experience in residential and/or commercial interior design.
Deep knowledge of interior materials, finishes, hardware, lighting, furniture, and construction techniques.
Strong understanding of technical drawings and the practicalities of site execution.
Well-developed design sensibility, spatial planning capabilities, and color visualization skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with an ability to conduct client meetings and presentations independently.
Robust problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
Professional maturity, composure, solution-driven mindset, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Aptitude to translate design discussions into feasible, aesthetically pleasing, and executable outcomes.
