Job description
Role overview
An ambitious, founder-led luxury fashion and lifestyle group in London is looking for a Commercial Director to define and steer its next stage of growth. This is a newly established leadership position for someone who is commercially sharp, brand-oriented, and comfortable driving expansion across international markets. The role partners closely with the Founder & Managing Director and spans a portfolio that includes fashion, lifestyle, and hospitality brands.
The position is open to both full-time and fractional arrangements.
Key scope of the role
This is a broad commercial leadership role that blends strategy with hands-on execution. The successful candidate will shape international partnerships, support wholesale development, contribute to showroom activity in Paris, and help deliver VIP client experiences and events. The remit covers several interconnected growth areas across the business.
- International wholesale
- Strategic partnerships and brand collaborations
- Retail and pop-up growth
- VIP and private client sales
- Business development
- Omnichannel commercial performance
What the business is looking for
The ideal person will bring a strong background in wholesale or B2B sales within luxury or contemporary fashion. Experience from an agency environment could be helpful, though it is not essential. A solid grasp of the international fashion wholesale calendar and regular participation in market appointments and showroom presentations is important.
They are also seeking someone who has worked across at least two of the following areas: wholesale, retail, and VIP/private client sales. A history of winning strategic partnerships, collaborations, and other commercial opportunities will be key.
The role requires a commercially aware professional who understands the modern omnichannel landscape. While digital fluency is important, this is not a specialist digital role. Experience with independent contemporary womenswear, luxury fashion, or resortwear brands, especially in founder-led settings, will be highly valued.
The successful candidate should be collaborative, entrepreneurial, and happy to stay close to the action, whether that means meeting wholesale partners, travelling for international market activity, or supporting key client events.
