Role Overview

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Clinical Technician for its Heart Center pediatric cardiology area on a full-time, first-shift schedule. The position supports physicians and nursing staff by carrying out a range of patient care tasks in a clinical setting.

Primary Duties

  • Assist physicians and nursing personnel with a variety of patient care activities.
  • Help maintain a safe and organized care environment by following standard safety practices.
  • Communicate clearly and follow detailed oral and written instructions accurately.
  • Work effectively in urgent, high-pressure, and emergency situations.
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with staff, physicians, supervisors, and members of the public.
  • Protect sensitive information by maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures, and workplace expectations.
  • Demonstrate dependable work habits, including regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, punctuality, and reliability.

Education, Certification, and Experience

A high school diploma or GED is required. Current CPR certification is also required. Prior patient care experience is preferred.

Additional Skills and Work Expectations

The role calls for knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions, along with the ability to remain effective in stressful and emergency situations. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, discretion, and the ability to respond to detailed instructions are important.
