Role Overview
This role involves delivering expert nursing care within a designated unit while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitating nursing induction programs for new staff.
- Identifying the educational and training needs of nursing personnel.
- Developing and organizing training activities including workshops and seminars.
- Providing hands-on and on-the-job training as well as Continuing Nursing Education (CNE).
- Evaluating nurse performance and competency assessments alongside Nursing Officers.
- Managing nurse privileging and recruitment processes.
- Supervising clinical nursing practices to ensure quality standards.
- Demonstrating effective techniques and best nursing practices to staff.
- Monitoring alert systems such as MET calls for emergencies.
- Educating patients and their families on health-related matters.
- Reporting clinical incidents and conducting thorough audits.
- Standardizing nursing procedures to maintain consistency.
- Analyzing incidents and errors to improve patient safety.
