Overview
The HR Manager at Centra in Carndonagh, County Donegal, Ireland, will be responsible for maintaining and improving human resource functions including employee relations, HR policies, and programmes. The position requires planning, implementing, and assessing HR and employee engagement strategies to support the store's workforce.
Key Duties

- Maintain optimal staffing by executing effective recruitment and selection processes.
- Develop and implement personalised training and development plans for all employees.
- Foster a positive work environment through active communication and conflict resolution.
- Ensure legal compliance and enforce relevant procedures within the store.
- Guarantee comprehensive employee induction and ongoing training sessions.
- Keep detailed records of all internal and external training programs.
- Monitor and manage employees' probation periods appropriately.
- Oversee attendance, leave, and holiday records diligently.
- Execute grievance and disciplinary actions following company policy when necessary.
- Implement customer service protocols and provide corresponding training.
- Engage with shop and union representatives as per company guidelines, if applicable.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum two years of experience in a relevant HR role.
- CIPD certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong delegation capabilities and leadership aptitude.
- Highly motivated with a robust work ethic.
- Understanding of setting and achieving KPIs and targets.
- Commercial awareness and sensitivity to brand image.
- Passion for the grocery retail sector.
- Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
