Clinical Applications Specialist - New Zealand

Position Overview

GE HealthCare is inviting a skilled clinician to leverage acute care experience beyond hospital settings by joining their Patient Care Solutions team as a Clinical Applications Specialist in New Zealand. Based in Auckland, this role covers the upper North Island including Gisborne, Lakes, and Waikato areas, partnering with hospitals to implement, instruct, and optimize Monitoring, Anaesthesia, Cardiology, and Maternal Infant Care technologies.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical expertise that supports sales activities, customer engagement, product demonstrations, evaluations, and tender responses.
• Lead and coordinate clinical training sessions for customers pre-, during, and post-implementation.
• Assist with implementation, configuration, and alignment of workflows during go-live phases throughout the territory.
• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales, service, and clinical teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Offer ongoing support to optimize product usage, enhance clinical workflows, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Identify and escalate customer needs, risks, and new opportunities through proper internal channels.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all customer interactions, trainings, feedback, and follow-up tasks.
• Stay up-to-date with clinical and product knowledge within the Patient Care Solutions portfolio.
• Comply fully with company policies on quality, privacy, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Clinical qualification in fields such as nursing, anaesthesia, cardiac physiology, midwifery, neonatal care, or related.
• Experience in acute care settings including perioperative, critical, emergency, cardiology, maternity, neonatal, NICU, or SCBU units.
• Strong communication, presentation, and training skills geared to both clinical and non-clinical groups.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to independently handle competing priorities over a wide territory.
• A proactive and self-driven attitude, demonstrating strong ownership and accountability.
• Team-player mindset supporting collaborative efforts.
• Possession of a valid New Zealand driver's license, essential for frequent regional travel.

Desirable Experience

• Previous roles in clinical education, medical technology applications, or as a product specialist.
• Familiarity with patient monitoring, anaesthesia, diagnostic cardiology, maternity, or neonatal products.
• Experience in product demonstrations, evaluations, or implementation projects.
• Commercial understanding and prior collaboration with sales teams.
• Insight into hospital workflows, clinical governance, and healthcare technology integration.
