Role Overview

We invite a committed medical professional to join as a Clinical Fellow in Classical Haematology for a fixed 12-month, full-time role beginning 1st February 2027. The role entails working 86 hours every fortnight at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Unit Insight

The Clinical Haematology department is a merged entity between the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, recognized as Australia's largest haematology service. This publicly funded unit offers evidence-based treatment for haematology patients across eight specialized disease groups, each led by nationally esteemed clinical leaders, providing a dynamic environment for advanced care and research.

Candidate Profile

  • Medical Board of Australia registration or eligibility (for international medical graduates).
  • Possession of MBBS or an equivalent tertiary medical qualification.
  • Postgraduate haematology qualifications such as FRACP or FRCPA, or analogous credentials.
  • Extensive experience within haematology, with a focus on bone marrow transplantation.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.
