Role overview
Daniels Health is hiring a dependable, practical Class A Yard Jockey to work at the Easton, PA plant. This role requires a Class A license and hands-on experience moving large trucks around the yard, along with loading and unloading trailers and trucks.
Work location: 925 Conroy Pl, Easton, PA 18040.
The position is a full-time direct hire role on the 1st shift, scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with 40 to 50 hours per week. The hourly rate is $31.00, and successful completion of the probation period comes with a $3,000 new hire bonus.
Key duties
- Move trailers and equipment around the yard using a yard truck.
- Place trailers in the right position to support fast and efficient loading and unloading.
- Load and unload trailers as part of warehouse operations.
- Complete daily safety checks on yard trucks and related equipment.
- Keep the yard clean, orderly, and safe at all times.
- Coordinate with yard and warehouse staff to keep operations running smoothly.
- Operate straight trucks and tractor trailers ranging from 26 feet to 53 feet.
- Handle heavy lifting as part of the job.
Candidate profile
- Valid Class A license with a clean driving record and a current DOT medical card.
- At least 3 years of experience driving 26-foot trucks and trailers up to 53 feet.
- Must pass the 7-year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Experience completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Working knowledge of DOT compliance, logbook requirements, and roadside inspections.
- A positive, service-minded attitude with strong customer focus.
- A history of staying with employers for meaningful periods.
- Experience with touch freight.
