About the Role
Enable Ireland is seeking a motivated Childcare Worker to join its CHO6 Dublin South team, based in Sandymount. The successful candidate will join the Little Pals integrated preschool, which operates within Enable Ireland services for children and families in the Dublin South and East area. The service delivers preschool, ECCE, and CCS programmes in line with Tusla guidelines.
Location
Sandymount is a lively seaside village with a community atmosphere, close to Sandymount Strand and surrounded by cafes, restaurants, local shops, and a Tesco. The area is well connected by DART and central bus routes, making travel from Dublin city and nearby areas straightforward.
Contract and Working Arrangements
This is a permanent part-time position offering 20 hours per week, with 4 weeks off in August. The role is based onsite in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.
The position includes 11 months’ salary paid across 12 months. The salary scale is €35,070 to €42,440 pro rata per annum, and the pro-rated amount is paid monthly over a 12-month period. Pay is subject to increases in 2026 in line with the recent WRC agreement concerning enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual leave entitlement is 30 days pro rata per annum, with proportionately less leave for employees with under 12 months of service.
Role Overview
The post holder will work as part of a team in an integrated preschool environment. The role involves supporting preschool learning programmes and contributing to the delivery of services for young children, including those with disabilities, in a setting that may also involve therapy and integrated supports.
Requirements
- A full FETAC Level 6 qualification in childcare, special needs, or another equivalent recognised qualification in childcare studies.
- At least one year of recent relevant experience in a preschool or early years setting.
- Experience delivering preschool learning programmes.
- Desirable: one year of experience supporting young children aged 0–5 years with disabilities.
- Desirable: experience working with therapy programmes.
- Desirable: experience in an integrated setting.
