Role Overview
The Child Care Eligibility Specialist (CES) manages family caseloads within the Alternative Payment Program, conducting eligibility interviews, enrolling families, processing status changes, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role emphasizes building relationships, providing resources, and supporting families throughout their participation.

Key Responsibilities
- Inform parents (walk-in or callers) thoroughly about CDA child care programs and eligibility criteria.
- Offer timely resource referrals as appropriate.
- Manage enrollment and recertification appointments, processing eligibility updates and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Monitor regulatory compliance by requesting required documents and updating records promptly through various communication methods.
- Track family eligibility status and submit related reports as necessary.
- Calculate family fees based on income, addressing changes proactively.
- Provide prompt, professional interactions with clients and colleagues, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
- Organize family files to maintain clear records evidencing eligibility.
- Engage in training and development through workshops, conferences, and staff meetings.
Qualifications
- Relevant education, training, and experience demonstrating required knowledge and skills.
- Strong clerical, administrative, and computer capabilities.
- Valid auto registration and insurance; occasional vehicle use for meetings or training may be required.
Preferred Attributes
- Associate degree in administration, human services, business, social work, or related fields.
- One to two years of combined education, training, or experience.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred based on office demands.
Work Schedule & Location
Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM), with potential evening and weekend hours depending on program needs. After initial training, work options include hybrid office and remote arrangements.

- Hourly wage of $30.01 ($62,420.80 annually).
