Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Remote AI Focus

About the Role

We are collaborating with a progressive AI technology firm seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to significantly influence the company’s technology vision, system architecture, and engineering leadership. This position offers a unique chance to join the founding executive team, innovate in AI product development, and expand a global engineering division.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and define the overarching technical vision for AI platforms, distributed computing systems, infrastructure, and developer utilities.
• Drive crucial tech decisions relating to AI model integration, data workflows, platform design, scalability, system reliability, and overall performance.
• Manage the balance between rapid product releases and sustainable, scalable engineering frameworks.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a highly capable global engineering workforce.
• Implement best engineering practices, maintain technical standards, and foster a positive engineering culture.
• Collaborate closely with Product, AI research teams, and company leadership to turn strategic goals into tangible outcomes and deliver standout products.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in system architecture, managing large-scale distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructures.
• Experience in building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong technical acumen with sound judgment to make pragmatic architectural choices and resolve complex engineering trade-offs.
• Hands-on technical experience to effectively guide teams on design and implementation.
• Comfort operating in fast-evolving, high-growth settings with changing priorities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional alignment capabilities.

Preferred Experience

• Background in Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI technologies.
• Experience with machine learning platform development.
• Track record in software product development, particularly SaaS.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and developer platforms.
• Exposure to internet or consumer technology sectors.
• Participation in high-growth startups or scaling technology companies.
