Key operational duties

The role involves managing supplies, equipment, inventories, sanitation, and the overall efficiency of stewarding operations. It also requires enforcing cleaning routines, ensuring proper use of machinery, checking food transport and holding equipment, and maintaining compliance with all applicable legal, sanitation, and safety standards.

  • Plan and manage supplies, tools, uniforms, and equipment so the team can perform effectively.
  • Coordinate schedules, activities, and workflow for stewarding and support staff.
  • Track incoming materials and maintain current stock levels.
  • Carry out inventories for china, glassware, and silverware.
  • Monitor stock of food, equipment, smallware, and liquor, and escalate shortages when needed.
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to confirm service quality and standards compliance.
  • Review and follow up on employee accidents.
  • Maintain adequate clean supplies of equipment, china, glass, and silver items.
  • Ensure loss prevention practices are followed to reduce accidents and keep costs under control.
  • Enforce proper cleaning of serviceware, equipment, floors, and related areas.
