About Kindo and Role Overview
Kindo is embarking on an exciting growth phase following a successful $15 million Series A funding round. Trusted by schools and families across New Zealand, Kindo boasts a robust product-market fit alongside a meaningful mission. The Chief Product Officer will spearhead the product strategy, lead the scaling of the Product and Design teams, and enhance a well-established platform that supports schools and families. This executive position offers significant influence on company strategy, team architecture, product delivery quality, and sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and direct Kindo's product strategy collaboratively with the CEO and Board.
- Lead, expand, and structure the Product and Design teams into a multi-squad organization.
- Implement scalable operating rhythms and team structures aligned with company growth.
- Oversee roadmap execution with deliberate prioritization and trade-offs.
- Discover, validate, and pursue new product lines and revenue opportunities.
- Engage closely with customers, school administrators, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
- Ensure high standards of product quality, customer satisfaction, and execution effectiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and leadership colleagues.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven senior leadership experience managing product teams within SaaS, fintech/payments, marketplace, or complex platforms.
- Expertise scaling and managing product teams in early or growth-stage organizations.
- Demonstrated success leading multiple squads and enhancing delivery performance.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with strategic thinking capabilities.
- Experience coaching and developing leaders within Product and Design functions.
- Ability to effectively balance speed, quality, customer value, and business priorities.
- Familiarity with AI-powered product practices.
- Additional advantage for experience in educational technology, family-oriented products, payments processing, or marketplace models.
