About the Role
A fast-growing modular housing and manufacturing firm based in St. George, Utah is searching for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to spearhead the development and expansion of its manufacturing capabilities. As the company transitions toward vertical integration and aims to establish operational excellence and sustainable growth, this role is pivotal in building vital infrastructure, leading teams, and instituting effective processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement the overall manufacturing and operational strategy.
- Drive the shift from outsourced to in-house manufacturing operations.
- Plan and open future manufacturing facilities.
- Recruit, manage, and guide manufacturing, operations, and supply chain personnel.
- Design scalable workflows, systems, and key performance indicators.
- Enhance operational efficiency, ensure quality control, and optimize production output.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic growth initiatives.
- Develop organizational frameworks and operational structures to support scaling.
- Promote a company culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years in leadership roles within manufacturing, operations, industrial production, or supply chain management.
- Demonstrated success in scaling manufacturing operations and managing sizable teams.
- Strong leadership skills spanning operational, financial, and strategic domains.
- Experience in establishing systems, processes, and teams in dynamic, growth-driven organizations.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Adaptable to entrepreneurial, fast-paced work environments.
Preferred Industry Experience
- Manufactured housing, modular construction, or prefabricated building systems.
- Off-site construction manufacturing or related sectors such as RV manufacturing and building products.
