About WindBorne Systems
WindBorne Systems revolutionizes weather forecasting by leveraging a proprietary global network of advanced smart weather balloons that collect critical atmospheric data. We oversee the design, production, and operation of these microballoons, generating unique weather insights that are otherwise unattainable. Our goal is to eliminate uncertainty in weather predictions to aid humanity's adaptation to climate change — from hurricane forecasting to accelerating the adoption of renewable energy. Role Overview
We seek a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful Chief of Staff to collaborate closely with our CEO, John Dean, and support the leadership team. This position involves tackling the company’s most impactful strategic and operational priorities, functioning as a force multiplier with significant autonomy and a strong bias toward execution.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to the CEO in managing the company's strategic initiatives and operational challenges
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to align priorities and drive effective execution
- Maintain organizational cohesion by acting as a central point of communication and follow-through
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience operating in high-pressure, high-stakes environments requiring sound judgment, discretion, rapid execution, and reliable follow-through; non-traditional backgrounds will be considered
- Resourcefulness and adaptability in addressing complex challenges
- Strong affinity for detailed organization and tracking to ensure tasks do not slip through the cracks
- Proactive mindset dedicated to continuous improvement
- Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace tools, especially spreadsheets, documents, slides, email, and calendar
- Familiarity with Digital HQ communication platforms such as Slack
- Exceptional organizational and coordination abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within startups, rapidly growing companies, or technology-driven organizations
- Keen problem-solving skills, anticipating needs in advance
- Basic software engineering knowledge or engineering fluency in another domain
- U.S. citizenship is preferred
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $130,000 to $180,000, with offers tailored to candidate background and market standards
