Job description
About WindBorne Systems
WindBorne Systems enhances weather forecasting using an exclusive data asset: a worldwide network of advanced smart weather balloons capturing critical atmospheric metrics. They design, build, and operate these balloons, utilizing their data to produce weather insights that were previously inaccessible. Their mission focuses on removing weather-related uncertainties to aid humanity in adapting to climate change, whether by forecasting hurricanes or accelerating renewable energy adoption. They envision a future densely monitored by thousands of microballoons, closing observational gaps and supplying essential information for vital decisions. The founding Stanford engineer team was recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2019 and supports top investors like Khosla Ventures and Footwork VC.

Preferred backgrounds include startups, fast-scaling or engineering-focused firms, strong problem-solving abilities, some engineering knowledge, and U.S. citizenship.
