Role Overview
We seek a Chief of Staff to collaborate closely with founders and leadership to architect the organizational structure and talent strategy, establish streamlined operating rhythms, and introduce clarity to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compensation as we expand. This position offers impactful engagement across people strategy, HR operations, and cross-team initiatives within a fast-evolving, mission-driven environment at the forefront of biosensing and personalized healthcare technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and translate company objectives into effective organizational design, headcount planning, and recruitment priorities.
- Manage a consistent people operation cadence, including review of relevant metrics and talent planning processes.
- Implement structured frameworks for leveling, compensation, performance evaluation, and promotion decisions.
- Oversee hiring systems, maintaining quality processes, tools, scorecards, interviewer training, and candidate experience enhancement.
- Collaborate with leaders on detailed role development and hiring closure to ensure smooth recruitment pipelines.
- Design and iterate onboarding programs to accelerate new hire integration and impact.
- Drive performance management cycles, including goal setting, review facilitation, calibration, and promotion handling.
- Equip managers with practical resources for one-on-ones, feedback delivery, coaching, and role clarity.
- Establish learning and development initiatives suitable for the current growth stage.
- Manage compensation, benefits administration, benchmarking, salary banding, review cycles, and communications.
- Maintain HR foundational policies, documentation, and employee relations, partnering closely with payroll and HRIS for reporting enhancements.
- Promote company culture, coordinate employee engagement mechanisms such as surveys and feedback loops, and support leadership communications on organizational priorities and updates.
- Lead cross-functional organizational programs, including team setups, location and hybrid work policies, and company-wide policy rollouts.
- Coordinate diverse stakeholders to ensure timeline adherence, remove obstacles, and drive project execution.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three years in People Operations, HR, talent management, business operations with a focus on human resources, or experience in a Chief of Staff role with significant people management responsibilities.
- Previous experience in startup environments, particularly early-stage or scale-up phases.
- Demonstrated ability to build and operate scalable people processes within fast-paced settings.
- High level of discretion and sound judgment handling confidential matters and complex interpersonal dynamics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; adept at producing clear and decision-ready documentation.
- Proven analytical skills with expertise in program management, prioritization, and execution based on metrics.
