About BeeX

BeeX is dedicated to developing the world's most advanced Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (HAUVs). Focused on autonomous robotic solutions, BeeX safeguards underwater infrastructure across maritime, energy, and defense sectors, effectively reducing over 90% of carbon emissions. By pioneering Autonomous Robotics-as-a-Service (ARaaS) worldwide, and backed by decades of operational expertise in challenging marine environments, BeeX offers a comprehensive solution to asset integrity management—helping clients protect valuable assets and ensure safety.

Why Join BeeX?

  • Work in a dynamic start-up environment emphasizing long-term growth over immediate profit.
  • Operate independently while collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain a growth mindset and rapidly acquire new knowledge to tackle challenges.
  • Assess risk thoughtfully and make timely, informed decisions in uncertain scenarios.

Role Overview

The Chief of Staff will collaborate directly with the CEO and leadership team to drive company-wide execution. This influential, cross-disciplinary position requires the ability to balance high-level strategy with detailed implementation—translating priorities into actionable tasks across engineering, operations, and commercial departments, ensuring timely and high-quality results.

Serving as a multiplier for leadership efforts, you will lead critical initiatives, bridge gaps among teams, and establish operating rhythms including planning, reporting, and decision-making processes that enable rapid and disciplined growth in a hardware and services company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership to facilitate strategic planning, prioritization, and execution of decisions, tracking assigned tasks through to completion.
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional initiatives spanning mechanical, electrical, software engineering, manufacturing, field operations, and commercial teams to maintain schedules and remove obstacles.
  • Oversee the company’s operational cadence, including leadership meetings, tracking OKRs/goals, preparing board and investor reports, and managing all-hands communications.
  • Serve as a trusted representative for the CEO in internal and external discussions, ensuring consistent messaging and proper follow-up.
  • Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies such as process, tool, or communication breakdowns between teams, including engineering and commercial/inspection services.
  • Lead special projects such as entering new markets, formulating hiring plans, negotiating with vendors or partners, implementing tooling or automation, and designing improved processes.
  • Develop systems and reporting tools to provide leadership with real-time insight into project statuses, budgets, hiring progress, and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare presentations and documentation for board meetings, investor updates, and significant client or partner communications.

Desired Qualifications and Traits

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in roles such as Chief of Staff, management consulting, business operations, or program management—preferably within startups, hardware, robotics, or engineering-focused companies.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple complex, cross-functional projects without losing attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of interpreting technical and commercial information for diverse audiences from engineers to investors.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments with sound judgment on when to escalate issues versus executing independently.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, including the ability to build frameworks, dashboards, and processes from the ground up.
  • Keen interest or experience in hardware/robotics, marine or subsea technologies, or deep-tech sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with operational tools such as ClickUp and workflow automation platforms (e.g., n8n) is a plus.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to making things happen beyond merely tracking progress.

Additional Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Background in companies that manufacture physical hardware and provide accompanying services.
  • Exposure to manufacturing operations, supply chains, or field/crewed operations.
  • Experience supporting fundraising efforts or investor relations.

Compensation and Benefits

  • A competitive market-aligned salary.
  • Growth opportunities tied directly to individual contribution rather than traditional corporate hierarchies.
  • Equity participation via ESOP.
  • Healthcare assistance.
  • Exclusive access to industry events.
  • Well-stocked pantry with quality snacks.
  • Support for professional development through skills upgrading and learning credits.
