Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO of ICBD, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will lead the creation and scaling of marketing and brand development efforts across a dynamic, rapidly growing portfolio of companies. This critical leadership role involves crafting and implementing brand architecture that ensures a clear, distinctive, and unified presence throughout ICBD’s portfolio to drive sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive brand architecture framework that is scalable and fosters clarity and differentiation across all portfolio companies.
- Create clear, compelling brand positioning, messaging, and storytelling tailored to various audience segments and growth phases.
- Establish brand management systems, guidelines, and governance to maintain consistency while enabling agility and innovation.
- Design and execute a holistic growth marketing strategy aimed at swift yet sustainable market adoption and expansion for early-stage and scaling businesses.
- Pinpoint key growth opportunities by channel, market, and customer segment, converting insights into actionable marketing playbooks.
- Champion customer acquisition, engagement, and retention via data-driven, full-funnel marketing campaigns.
- Build and operationalize the marketing function from scratch, including setting up tools, processes, analytics, and demand generation engines across various disciplines such as digital, content, partnerships, and lifecycle marketing.
- Develop KPIs, attribution models, and dashboards to monitor growth performance and return on investment.
- Work closely with portfolio company leadership and the Chief Growth Officer to align marketing initiatives with broader business goals.
- Advise operating companies on market entry and brand evolution strategies in early-stage scenarios.
- Foster a culture focused on testing, measurement, optimization, and disciplined investment in high-return marketing activities.
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing marketing team capable of thriving in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with healthcare industry regulations while maintaining an innovative and competitive edge.
- Implement policies and review procedures that balance quick market responsiveness with risk mitigation.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is strongly preferred.
- Over 15 years of marketing leadership experience, ideally in regulated, multi-brand healthcare or similar service-driven industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in building brands and marketing organizations within early-stage or high-growth companies.
- Strong knowledge of brand architecture, multi-brand strategy, and effective positioning across emerging enterprises.
- A proven history of leading measurable growth using contemporary, digital-centric marketing approaches.
- A builder mentality, adept at establishing structures, processes, and teams from ground zero.
- Highly data-oriented decision maker with deep proficiency in performance marketing and analytics.
- An adaptable, collaborative, and hands-on leader comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills to cultivate productive collaboration at all organizational levels.
- Confident and decisive, yet listens well and adjusts flexibly to evolving situations.
- Willingness to travel up to 10-15% across the United States to support marketing efforts and strategic initiatives.
Work Location and Expectations
This is a full-time role based at ICBD’s headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with travel as necessary, potentially including extended periods.
