Role Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position is a part-time, remote leadership role overseeing the company’s financial planning and performance management. The CFO is responsible for crafting and implementing financial strategies, managing budgets and forecasts to achieve sustainable growth and profitability. Key duties include monitoring financial outcomes, ensuring accurate and timely financial statement preparation, and providing clear reporting to executive leadership and stakeholders.
The CFO manages financial controls, compliance, cash flow, funding and investment strategies, while identifying financial risks and opportunities. Collaboration with various department leaders ensures that financial objectives align with operational goals, while also supporting long-range planning, capital allocation, and communication with investors and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Expertise in financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Experience preparing and reporting accurate financial statements in line with accounting standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret complex financial data and deliver actionable insights.
- Proven track record in senior financial management roles, ideally as a CFO in distribution, industrial sectors, or similar fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines; CPA, CMA or MBA credentials are highly advantageous.
- Deep understanding of cash flow, capital structure, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying financial information effectively to non-financial team members.
- Ability to independently manage priorities and deadlines in a remote, part-time context.
- Strong ethical standards, integrity, and sound decision-making practices.
