About the Role

Norbrook Car Rental Limited (NCRL), the operator of the Hertz franchise in Jamaica, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Chief Financial Officer based in Kingston, with responsibilities extending to Montego Bay operations. This executive position entails close collaboration with the CEO and Board, overseeing the entire finance function, and ensuring governance and reporting standards aligned with publicly accountable entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive financial reporting, budgeting, and analytic activities across multiple sites.
• Prepare and deliver board-level financial statements adhering strictly to IFRS standards.
• Manage treasury functions, fleet financing, and maintain relationships with lenders.
• Develop investor-focused financial disclosures, including audited financial statements and monthly management reports.
• Maintain internal control systems comparable to those of regulated, publicly accountable organizations.
• Ensure full compliance with General Consumption Tax (GCT), corporate income tax, and intercompany group reporting requirements.
• Lead and nurture the internal Accounting team for optimum performance.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Fully certified accountant with ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 8 years of experience post-qualification, including a minimum of 3 years in senior finance leadership roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Proven capability to produce financial reports meeting the standards of regulated entities.
• Strong expertise in IFRS reporting and Jamaican statutory compliance.
• Track record of meeting strict statutory reporting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sectors such as tourism, transportation, franchising, or multi-location consumer services.
• Familiarity with concession-based revenue models, asset financing, and treasury management.
• Advanced academic credentials such as an MBA or MSc in Finance from accredited institutions.
