Chief Executive Officer

Role overview

An established organization in the construction, contracting, EPC, and infrastructure space is looking for a Chief Executive Officer to steer its next stage of growth from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a senior full-time leadership position with responsibility for shaping strategy, strengthening execution, and delivering long-term enterprise value.

The CEO will report directly to the Group CEO and will oversee the company’s overall direction, financial outcomes, project delivery performance, and business development agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for the business and turn long-term objectives into clear action plans.
• Oversee all operating functions to improve efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.
• Ensure successful delivery of major construction, EPC, and infrastructure programmes.
• Strengthen commercial results through business development, market growth, and expansion initiatives.
• Own full P&L accountability, including budgeting, financial performance, and operating discipline.
• Develop durable relationships with clients, public-sector bodies, investors, and other key stakeholders.
• Put strong governance, risk oversight, and regulatory compliance practices in place.
• Lead and mentor senior leaders while promoting a high-performance, accountable culture.
• Spot new business opportunities, partnerships, and investment possibilities.
• Share regular performance insights and strategic recommendations with the Group CEO and Board.

Requirements

• Strong executive leadership background at CEO, Managing Director, General Manager, Executive Director, or Business Unit Head level within a respected construction, contracting, EPC, or infrastructure company.
• Proven track record of running complex operations and delivering large construction projects successfully.
• Well-developed commercial judgement with experience in growth strategy, contract management, and operational leadership.
• Hands-on experience with complete Profit & Loss responsibility.
• Excellent capability in leadership, strategic planning, negotiation, and decision-making.
• Solid experience managing stakeholders such as clients, government entities, consultants, and investors.
• High-level skills in finance, operations, and overall business management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA or other postgraduate qualification is strongly preferred.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required; Arabic is an advantage.
