Job description
Role overview
This is a senior advisory position for an accomplished executive who can help a growing organisation raise leadership effectiveness while also strengthening operational performance. Working alongside the CEO and executive leadership, you will contribute to sharper decisions, better alignment across functions, and more consistent execution.
Important note: this is not a Chief Executive Officer role. It is a senior advisory appointment centred on operational excellence, executive coaching, and leadership support within an established executive structure.
Business challenge
The organisation is expanding in an environment where strong leadership and disciplined operations are both essential. Senior leaders need a trusted advisor who can help them improve leadership capability, enhance team effectiveness, and identify practical ways to improve how the business runs.
The purpose of the role is to connect executive coaching with operational improvement so the CEO and leadership team can turn strategic intent into coordinated delivery.
Why this background is relevant
Experience at VP, C-suite, or equivalent senior leadership level will matter because the role requires confidence and credibility with top decision-makers. You will be supporting leaders who expect thoughtful challenge, practical guidance, and help translating strategy into everyday organisational performance.
Backgrounds involving operational initiatives, performance improvement, senior stakeholder coaching, or change leadership in complex settings will be especially valuable.
Core accountabilities
- Provide one-to-one coaching and structured support to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Help leadership teams improve collaboration, decision-making, and overall effectiveness.
- Advise the CEO and executive group on operational excellence priorities that can improve efficiency, alignment, and long-term growth.
- Partner with senior management to find ways to strengthen processes, reduce operational friction, and improve strategic execution.
- Offer insight on organisational performance, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Support cross-functional improvement work across operations, finance, HR, and compliance alignment, while staying within an advisory remit.
- Help leaders identify and act on market, organisational, and operational opportunities.
- Build strong internal partnerships that support business performance and a high-performing, inclusive culture.
Measures of success
Success is likely to show up as stronger executive decision-making, more effective leadership collaboration, clearer operational priorities, better execution discipline, practical efficiency improvements, improved organisational alignment, and stronger support for sustainable growth and business performance.
Candidate profile
You should bring substantial experience in VP, C-suite, or equivalent senior leadership roles, along with a proven record in operational strategy, organisational improvement, or business performance leadership. Strong executive coaching, mentoring, or leadership development capability is important, as are excellent communication and influencing skills.
You will need sound business judgment and a strong understanding of strategy, operations, and leadership effectiveness. Experience in complex or cross-functional environments is also expected.
Education and eligibility
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or doctorate is welcomed but not essential.
Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
Valuable experience areas
Relevant experience may include operational excellence, business operations leadership, executive coaching, strategic planning, transformation leadership, or finance/HR/compliance-adjacent operational settings. Experience in technology, professional services, banking, or other scaling organisations would also be beneficial.
Equivalent experience will be considered where it demonstrates strong executive credibility, coaching ability, and measurable operational impact.
What makes this opportunity appealing
- Direct interaction with the CEO and executive leadership team.
- A distinctive role that combines executive coaching with operational excellence.
- The chance to shape leadership quality and business performance together.
- Flexible remote working with occasional travel.
- An opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a forward-looking, growth-oriented organisation.

Application and privacy
Applicants were asked to apply through LinkedIn with an up-to-date profile. Sensitive identity, right-to-work, or payroll information will only be requested later in the process where legally required.
Equal opportunity
The organisation is committed to inclusive hiring and equal opportunity. Candidates will be assessed on skills, experience, and qualifications relevant to the role.
