About the Role
As the Chief Clinical & Compliance Officer at Lumia Care, you will lead the clinical governance, risk management, quality assurance, and compliance frameworks across the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with the Executive Leadership Team, your efforts will ensure the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centred care throughout all service areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage clinical governance, nursing practices, quality assurance, and compliance procedures within Lumia Care.
- Supervise accreditation processes, conduct internal audits, manage incidents and complaints, and oversee risk management frameworks.
- Analyze trends and emerging risks to identify systemic issues; implement root-cause analysis and foster continuous improvement.
- Provide comprehensive reports to the executive team and Board on clinical quality, safety, workforce compliance, and organisational risks.
- Enhance workforce capability through professional standards, credentialling, and defining scope of practice.
- Serve as Lumia Care’s representative with regulators, accreditation authorities, healthcare providers, and other key external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a strategic and values-driven executive or senior leader with extensive experience in clinical governance, quality assurance, compliance, risk management, or organisational assurance, preferably within health, aged care, disability, or community services sectors. Strong commercial acumen, sound judgement, and the ability to influence at all organisational levels are essential.
- Proven senior leadership in clinical governance and quality compliance roles.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and professional healthcare norms.
- Experience in leading audits, investigations, assurance programs, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication skills, and influential leadership style founded on integrity, compassion, and accountability.
Qualifications & Compliance
- Tertiary degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Health Management, Business, or related disciplines.
- Postgraduate qualifications in health administration, business administration, governance, risk management, or related fields are preferred.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse is highly desired.
- Required employment checks include police clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, proof of right to work in Australia, and other specific compliance validations.
