About the Role
This fixed-term checkout position runs until 30 April 2027. The working hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
The role suits someone who enjoys a busy retail setting, thinks quickly, and takes pride in delivering warm and efficient service. You will be expected to help customers enjoy a smooth checkout experience while ensuring they feel respected and valued.
You should be comfortable working at pace without losing accuracy or service quality. Patience, practical problem-solving, and a calm approach to difficult situations are important in this role. A neat and orderly work style is also essential, along with an eagerness to learn new systems and technology.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a customer-facing environment such as retail or hospitality would be useful, though it is not required. Strong communication skills, a positive mindset, and the ability to stand for long periods are important.
