Job description
Role Overview
Emami Limited is seeking a Category Trade Marketing Manager to lead trade marketing strategies and their implementation across major markets. This role aims to enhance brand visibility, boost channel expansion, and carry out effective in-store campaigns for its Consumer Care products in both General Trade and Modern Trade sectors. Collaborating closely with Sales, Brand Marketing, and Distribution divisions, the manager will focus on optimizing retail execution and increasing market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute trade marketing plans that align with brand and sales targets.
- Create activation strategies at the cluster level to enhance visibility and product sell-through.
- Collaborate with heads of Trade Marketing, Modern Trade, E-Commerce, and Sales to roll out national trade initiatives locally across all three channels.
- Promote expansion in General Trade, Modern Trade, and E-Commerce by identifying opportunities to increase distribution coverage, retail penetration, and merchandising quality.
- Forge strong partnerships with distributors, retailers, and channel stakeholders.
- Coordinate in-store promotional activities, ensure compliance with merchandising standards, and conduct field visits for quality control and support.
- Analyze consumer and market data including trends, competitor moves, and shopper behaviors to propose strategic actions.
- Measure the success of promotions, calculate return on investment, and assess trade scheme effectiveness.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to guarantee smooth program delivery and support product launches through trade and retail activities.
- Oversee trade marketing budgets and promotions to ensure efficient expenditure.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as sales growth, distribution reach, and retail visibility.
Candidate Profile
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, or Channel Marketing within the FMCG segment, including experience as a General Trade ASM.
- MBA preferred from a recognized institution.
- In-depth knowledge of FMCG trade marketing approaches and retail execution practices.
- Proven ability to manage distribution networks across multiple channels.
- Strong analytical aptitude and proficiency in market planning.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and leadership.
- Capability to manage execution across extensive sales teams and distributor partnerships.
