Role Overview and Key Responsibilities
- Participate in virtual product trade shows and selection meetings with head office, occasionally during evenings, to translate market insights into effective product choices.
- Analyze market trends, sales figures, and channel data to identify and recommend products optimally tailored for the Canadian audience.
- Collaborate as part of a product development team spanning Canadian offices and international headquarters.
- Provide feedback on current products using consumer trend analysis and performance data to suggest improvements.
- Manage reporting on product inventories, focusing on aging and stock levels to support marketing and sales initiatives.
- Use channel analytics tools to assess online performance, informing assortment strategies, sales timing, and shipment planning.
- Act as the main contact for product issue communication, articulating risks and partnering with head office to resolve problems swiftly.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, supply chain, warehouse, customer service, and leadership to ensure successful execution of category plans.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Experience handling online products including pricing strategies, feature sets, content optimization, and competitive benchmarking.
- Organized, patient, and efficient; skilled at taking charge of and enhancing existing workflows and reports.
- Quick to learn and adapt to new product segments, systems, and analytical tools.
- Proficient with online channel performance analysis software and comfortable interpreting sales data.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a dynamic, high-paced e-commerce setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence in expressing ideas and reports.
- Willingness to participate in evening meetings and virtual trade events as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related discipline, with keen commercial insight.
- Prior experience in product development, selection, merchandising, or e-commerce roles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills; familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and aptitude for juggling multiple priorities simultaneously.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary between CA$40,000 and CA$50,000.
