Position Summary
The Clinical Training Specialist Lead is responsible for preparing team members to deliver superior, compliant, and patient-focused healthcare. This role plays a key part in enabling compassionate and effective care that enhances patient outcomes and reduces hospital admissions while adapting to various healthcare settings and virtual care models.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead orientation and onboarding sessions for new clinical staff and care coordinators across multiple service lines including Chronic Care Management (CCM), Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Principal Care Management (PCM), Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM), and Transitional Care Management (TCM).
- Develop engaging and scalable educational content customized to specific care programs and market sectors such as Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and International Medical Graduates (IMG).
- Deliver culturally competent training that addresses the diverse backgrounds of patients and employees.
- Educate clinical and technical teams on the ShiFox platform updates to ensure full integration with care protocols.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflow manuals, and job aids to facilitate accurate documentation and ensure program adherence.
- Provide training on best practice approaches to managing chronic conditions, promoting patient involvement, delivering virtual care services, and utilizing remote monitoring technologies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations and payer-specific guidelines relevant to service lines, reflecting these in training materials.
- Implement assessments to evaluate knowledge retention and training effectiveness, recommending enhancements based on analytical insights.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, compliance, and quality assurance departments to identify and close knowledge gaps and uphold excellence in care delivery.
- Assist in launching new programs, expanding service lines, and incorporating workflow modifications through targeted training efforts.
- Act as a mentor and coach to sustain a culture of ongoing learning, clinical quality, and patient-centered advocacy.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- At least three years of clinical experience in care management, chronic disease care, or population health management.
- Minimum of two years’ involvement in clinical training, education, or quality improvement roles in a virtual care setting is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of CMS billing processes and operational models for CCM, RPM, PCM, RTM, and TCM.
- Experience with the unique demands and workflows of Skilled Nursing Facilities, Federally Qualified Health Centers, and International Medical Graduates.
- Proficiency in conducting virtual training using platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and learning management systems.
- Familiarity with electronic health records, care coordination systems, and remote patient monitoring tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging diverse audiences across clinical and non-clinical roles.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field preferred.
- Active clinical licensure such as Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or equivalent credentials is mandatory.
Work Environment and Schedule
- This role is fully remote, with work hours typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or aligned with client practice schedules.
- A quiet, professional workspace free from distractions is necessary to discuss confidential patient information securely.
- Stable, reliable internet access is essential to operate all internet-based programs used by the Clinical Training Specialist Lead.
