Job Overview
The chosen candidate will be responsible for executing Line Maintenance duties on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft under the authority of CAR 66 Category A1 certification. This involves inspecting, repairing, rectifying faults, and replacing components to maintain aircraft readiness and serviceability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to fully understand tasks, priorities, and documentation before commencing work.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance activities as directed by the Certifying Engineer or Shift Manager, ensuring correct documentation, tools, parts, and ground support equipment (GSE) are utilized.
- Perform aircraft inspections and tests to identify and document defects or damage according to approved procedures.
- Conduct routine servicing and checks including Transit, Daily, and Weekly inspections along with component replacements authorized by the Technician’s Category A1 license.
- Ensure proper tool and equipment management by drawing from and returning to stores in good condition.
- Provide regular updates on task status and alert relevant personnel to any issues affecting aircraft condition or task execution.
Safety Standards
- Manage safety throughout maintenance tasks by strictly following mandatory precautions before and during work.
- Take proactive measures to protect oneself and colleagues using appropriate GSE and protective gear.
- Adhere to human factors principles, maintaining adequate access, lighting, and interruption protocols during maintenance.
Professionalism and Teamwork
- Deliver useful support and information to team members and other departments involved with scheduled maintenance.
- Represent Air Arabia positively by displaying professionalism to external personnel and customers.
Cost Efficiency
- Maintain awareness of maintenance costs, including time, materials, and repairs, aiming to minimize waste and avoid unnecessary damage or rework.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certified and skilled Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
- Proficient in English for technical communication—reading, writing, and speaking.
- Competent in the use of computers, especially Microsoft Office.
- Ability to obtain a UAE Driver’s License.
- Minimum of two years’ experience maintaining large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus.
- At least four years working in Base or Line Maintenance roles.
- Currently holds a valid CAR 66 Category A1 Maintenance License.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of aircraft maintenance theory and practice.
