About Australian Turf Club

The Australian Turf Club (ATC) is a renowned Australian sporting and entertainment organisation hosting over 110 race days and numerous events annually across five venues: Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park, Warwick Farm, and Rosehill Bowling Club. Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Casual Public Relations Coordinator to assist in executing PR campaigns, managing media relations, engaging influencers, and supporting race day publicity efforts. This role is perfect for final-year students or recent graduates aiming to gain practical experience in a dynamic setting involving sports, lifestyle, and events.

Essential Qualifications and Attributes

  • Actively completing or recently finished a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a relevant field
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Keen attention to detail combined with excellent organisational skills
  • Capable of juggling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-moving environment
  • Positive, eager to learn, and ready to contribute constructively
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends during key campaigns and race days

Main Duties

  • Draft and circulate media releases, alerts, and supporting documents
  • Coordinate publicity activities before, during, and after race meetings
  • Maintain media contacts database and handle journalist inquiries
  • Manage media accreditation and assist with media facilities on race days
  • Support the planning and execution of comprehensive PR campaigns with preparation of briefs, run sheets, and presentations
  • Provide administrative and logistical assistance during campaign delivery
  • Prepare briefing materials, schedules, and event documentation for talent and influencers
  • Organise logistics for talent and influencers during media appearances, events, and race days
  • Assist in the coordination of editorial and publicity photoshoots, including styling and other preparations
  • Arrange gifts, guest lists, transportation, and other necessary talent support
  • Help facilitate media launches, publicity events, and on-the-day race activations, managing RSVPs and guest communications
  • Provide onsite support for talent, media personnel, and guests during events and race meetings
  • Handle purchase orders, budget tracking, and administrative tasks
  • Maintain digital asset libraries and campaign documentation
  • Compile campaign performance reports and contribute to post-campaign analysis
