Casual Grassroots Scout (U9-U11) - London, Hertfordshire & Kent

Role Overview

We are seeking several Casual Grassroots Scouts to join our talent identification team on a casual basis, covering regions including North, East, South London, Kent, and Hertfordshire. The primary focus is to discover promising young players aged 9 to 11 for our Academy's Foundation Phase.

Key Duties

• Carefully attend football matches and document observations of potential Academy players into our secure online database.
• Participate actively in weekly meetings led by Phase Coordinators, sharing insights and evaluations.
• Maintain a proud representation of the Club’s values, safeguarding its reputation and adhering strictly to Professional League and EFL Youth Development regulations.
• Engage in relevant Continued Professional Development (CPD) events focused on Talent Identification at the Academy.
• Remain adaptable and available to attend grassroots matches assigned by Phase Coordinators, including weekends and some weekday evenings.
• Strictly follow safeguarding, equality, and health and safety policies at all times.

Candidate Profile

• Holds FA Talent ID Level 2 accreditation and an FA Safeguarding Certificate.
• Displays a compassionate and supportive nature towards young players, their parents or guardians, and grassroots clubs.
• Possesses proficient IT skills for detailed report writing and maintaining databases.
• Holds a valid driving license to facilitate travel to various matches, events, and meetings.
• Works well within a team environment, demonstrating enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.
• Flexible availability to work weekends and some evenings.

Additional Commitments

Given that this role involves regular, close contact with children and vulnerable adults, candidates must maintain exemplary conduct to prevent any form of abuse and stay updated with Club and FA safeguarding training. Successful candidates will undergo a DBS check appropriate to the role.
