Job description
Position Overview
Cashiers serve as essential customer service representatives by delivering fast, courteous, precise, and safe transaction processing. They handle checkout and returns, oversee the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operation, and proactively acquire product and project insight to assist customers and uncover sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process purchases and returns for customers in a timely and friendly manner.
- Maintain oversight and manage the Self-Checkout stations to promote a seamless customer experience.
- Continuously expand knowledge about products and projects to inform and assist customers effectively and identify potential sales.
- Comply with company policies and procedures to minimize losses and ensure safe transactions.
- For Head Cashiers: position and support cashier staff, expedite price checks, approve point-of-sale transactions including markdowns, and handle escalations related to customer concerns.
- Assist in supervising, coaching, and training front-end staff by participating in onboarding and providing ongoing development support.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working as a Cashier is preferred for Head Cashiers.
