Cashier (Saudi Nationals Only)

Position Overview

We are seeking a personable and dynamic Cashier to join our team at a reputable counter-service and self-service restaurant located in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promptly and accurately managing customer orders and payments while delivering exceptional service. The role requires active collaboration with the service team to guarantee accurate order preparation and delivery.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival
• Accurately record customer orders and process payment through the Point of Sale (POS) system
• Manage cash, card, and other payment methods with precision
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, current promotions, and available choices
• Assist patrons in selecting menu options and provide clear responses to inquiries
• Encourage sales by recommending additional products
• Collaborate with kitchen and service personnel to ensure timely and precise order fulfillment
• Prepare and deliver both dine-in trays and takeaway orders
• Verify order accuracy before handing over to customers
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and a professional appearance of the cashier and service area
• Perform end-of-day cash reconciliation and compile closing reports
• Report any discrepancies in cash or issues with the POS system to the supervisor promptly
• Adhere to company protocols, food safety standards, and customer service policies
• Provide support to fellow team members during peak periods

Candidate Requirements

• Between 2 to 3 years of cashier experience in a high-standard counter-service or self-service restaurant environment
• Proficient in operating POS systems and managing cash transactions
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous
• Excellent customer service aptitude and effective communication capabilities
• Strong ability to recommend products and drive sales through upselling
• Solid understanding of restaurant operations and correct order handover procedures
• Skilled in performing accurate cash reconciliation and generating closing reports
• Positive demeanor with effective teamwork abilities
• Capacity to work efficiently under fast-paced conditions
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
