Caregiver

Role overview

Join Kevin Hickman Retirement Village in Christchurch as a Caregiver and play a meaningful part in supporting residents with compassionate day-to-day care. This full-time role is scheduled for Wednesday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

What you will do

• Build trusted, long-term connections with residents and their families.
• Deliver care in line with each resident’s personal care plan, with the standard of care you would want for your own loved ones.
• Use modern tools and the organisation’s dedicated care application, myRyman, in your daily work.
• Collaborate closely with your teammates and help maintain a positive, supportive work environment.

What we are looking for

To succeed in this role, you should bring genuine kindness, a strong sense of empathy, excellent communication skills, and a dependable, approachable, and professional manner. Previous experience in aged care would be helpful, but it is not essential.

Eligibility

Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand for this position. While applications from overseas candidates are sometimes considered, immigration requirements mean New Zealand work rights are essential.
