Career Development Specialist (Relocation to Saudi Arabia)

Overview

We are looking for a Career Development Specialist to join the Career Counseling Group under the Career Development Division of the Management & Professional Development Department. The department aims to be a global leader in future-focused development by cultivating professionals and leaders to achieve personal and organizational success. Career services are delivered confidentially, aligning with Company policies and national career practice standards. This role focuses on providing career development experiences and enhancing professional capabilities to foster career satisfaction and improve corporate results. Services include supporting employees with goal setting, career decision-making, exploring options, managing transitions, and resolving career concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer confidential career counseling through various methods to early-career and experienced professionals across diverse contexts.
• Create and deliver tailored career practitioner training based on international best practices and adult learning theory.
• Oversee career practitioner supervision and skill evaluations to monitor progress, enable skill acquisition, and uphold service quality standards.
• Build strong partnerships with company business units to deepen understanding of key drivers and jointly develop innovative career initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Design and facilitate career development workshops covering self-awareness, opportunity awareness, decision-making, transition management, and career planning that address organizational needs.
• Assist employees, supervisors, and mentors in establishing individual development plans aligned with business objectives and corporate strategies.
• Prepare reports on career counseling activities, identifying opportunities to better align services with employees’ aspirations and company needs.
• Stay informed on current trends, challenges, and issues relevant to career counseling in the energy sector.
• Collaborate with career practitioners throughout the organization to exchange best practices and foster mutual growth.
• Maintain detailed records of all counseling services for reporting and monitoring purposes as required by senior leadership.
• Engage in ongoing research into career development, HR, and workforce trends to recommend suitable practices and technologies.
• Exemplify effective teamwork behaviors consistently.
• Administer and interpret career assessments to identify motivators, personality traits, strengths, and career aspirations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, career guidance, counseling, or a related discipline.
• Hold valid credentials and memberships in recognized career development organizations such as the National Career Development Association, Career Development Institute, Career Professionals of Canada, Career Industry Council of Australia, or equivalent.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in career development with at least 3 to 5 years focused on career counseling, guidance, professional development, and training, preferably including the training of career counselors.
• Broad experience in career counseling/guidance encompassing supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for consultation, counseling, presentations, and leading meetings.
• Competency in delivering and facilitating training for internal audiences.
• Ability to operate effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Knowledge and experience with career development tools and assessment resources.
