We are currently seeking candidates for a career change to become a Construction Site Safety Specialist (m/f/d) at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH, with possible locations including Altenburg, Bitterfeld, Falkenberg/Elster, Halle (Saale), Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Nordhausen, Sangerhausen, or Torgau.
Retraining Details
- You will learn step-by-step what is needed for this profession over about one year.
- Theoretical lessons and practical experience alternate, allowing you to see and immediately apply what is taught.
- Experienced colleagues will accompany you to support your smooth entry, even if this is a completely new field for you.
- Theoretical training is conducted as close to your residence as possible, while practical assignments typically occur in your future area of deployment.
- You will receive a secure salary from the start.
Post-Retraining Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to ensure no one is harmed on our track construction sites.
- Warn personnel in the track area about approaching trains using various signals and modern warning systems.
- Implement safety regulations and instruct new safety personnel as part of your routine.
- Communicate with various contacts to ensure smooth operations.
- Take responsibility for organizing and monitoring safety measures on construction sites independently.
Candidate Profile
- You are at least 18 years old and possess a secondary school (Hauptschule) diploma.
- No prior experience is necessary, but you must be confident in ensuring safety and reliable.
- You enjoy working outdoors in fresh air regardless of the weather.
- You have secure verbal and written German communication skills.
- You are flexible with willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and changing work locations.
- Possession of a class B driving license and a personal vehicle is required.
