Job overview
A Mercedes-Benz dealership in Grimsby is looking for a Car Sales Executive to join the team. The role is focused on helping each customer find the right vehicle and package for their needs, while delivering a smooth and satisfying buying experience from first contact through to handover and finance arrangements.
Working pattern
This is a full-time on-site position with the following schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 6:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and Sundays from 10:00am to 5:00pm. You will have one day off during the week, and Sunday work is on a rota basis.
Role responsibilities
- Connect with customers, build credibility quickly, and create a strong first impression.
- Understand customer needs and match them to the most suitable vehicle, features, and optional extras.
- Generate sales opportunities through prospecting, follow-up activity, inbound calls, walk-ins, and online enquiries.
- Work toward monthly performance targets covering unit sales, profit per vehicle, finance conversion, and add-on product sales.
- Gather customer and vehicle details accurately and follow company FCA and data protection requirements to maintain a high-quality database.
- Support the full sales journey, including finance and contract discussions, to help achieve complete customer satisfaction.
Candidate profile
This opportunity may suit someone with experience as a car sales executive, retail manager, or sales manager. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of meeting and exceeding targets, the ability to develop rapport quickly, and the ambition to build a long-term career in the motor industry. A valid UK driving licence is required. Experience in motor trade, automotive, or a car dealership environment is helpful, but not mandatory because training will be provided.
