Job overview
Listers Group is hiring a Car Sales Executive for its Volkswagen dealership in Loughborough, England. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on guiding customers to the right vehicle and making sure they have a smooth, satisfying buying experience from first contact through to finance and contract completion.
Working pattern
The role follows a Monday to Saturday schedule, with one weekday off and Sundays worked on a rota. Typical hours are 8:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays, and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sundays.
What the role involves
You will need to understand each customer’s needs and recommend vehicles, features, and add-ons that best suit their situation. The position also focuses on building trust, maintaining strong communication, and delivering an excellent first impression and high level of service.
- Create a positive, trustworthy first interaction and communicate in a way that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Grow sales opportunities through prospecting, follow-up calls, inbound telephone enquiries, walk-in customers, and internet leads.
- Improve profitability by meeting monthly targets for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration, and add-on products.
- Follow company FCA and data protection rules by collecting customer and vehicle information accurately and completely.
Candidate profile
This opportunity may suit someone with previous experience as a car sales executive, retail manager, or sales manager. A track record of meeting and surpassing targets is important, along with the ability to quickly build rapport with customers. A strong interest in building a long-term career in the motor trade is also valued. Experience in motor trade, automotive, or a car dealership setting is preferred but not mandatory, as full training will be provided. A valid UK driving licence is required.
