Overview
Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the principal healthcare provider for the Central Hume area, offering a comprehensive array of acute, sub-acute, aged care, and community services. We seek a dependable and motivated Car Detailer (Handyperson) for a part-time ongoing contract, tasked with maintaining our fleet vehicles in excellent condition to ensure their safety, cleanliness, and readiness for daily staff use.
Key Duties
- Perform washing and detailing of all fleet vehicles.
- Conduct routine safety inspections on vehicles including checking first aid kits and fire blankets.
- Complete monthly vehicle checklists and maintain detailed cleaning logs.
- Support coordination of servicing and maintenance schedules for the fleet.
- Assist with emergency maintenance such as fixing flat tyres and battery issues.
- Keep the car wash area tidy and safe with proper safety signage in place.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Inventory Officer, Warehouse Team Leader, and Supply & Procurement Manager to aid fleet-related responsibilities and support broader Supply Department activities as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a current driver’s licence.
- Strong keen eye for detail and high standards for cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to operate independently with reliability and a proactive approach.
- Positive demeanor and readiness to support various tasks within the team.
