  • Collaborate with Planning teams to oversee category planning, open-to-buy (OTB), sales value and volume, investment allocation, pricing strategies, forecasting accuracy, product availability, and market preparation.
  • Analyze sales data, account feedback, market trends, margin, inventory levels, and competitor activity to identify risks and opportunities, guiding future assortment adjustments.
  • Maintain precise product line data including SKU lists, paginations, purchase orders, and assortment planning tools such as NuORDER.
  • Communicate assortment strategy, key product highlights, and commercial propositions during line launches, account planning, and business reviews.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Planning, Merchandising, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to improve processes and foster effective collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Buying, Merchandising, or Sales within wholesale, retail, or premium lifestyle brand sectors is essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the wholesale buying cycle, including assortment development, pricing, forecasting, purchase order management, line presentation, and account planning aligned with seasonal schedules.
  • Strong commercial insight into Polo Menswear customers, wholesale account needs, product trends, competitors, customer profiles, regional differences, and dynamics within the EMEA market.
  • Advanced numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret wholesale sales data, margin metrics, inventory, and sales performance indicators.
  • Capability to design assortments across various categories balancing brand prestige, commercial viability, and productivity.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple seasonal deadlines, stakeholder requests, and market commitments efficiently.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities to influence stakeholders, explain assortment decisions, and clearly articulate product narratives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, NuORDER, and relevant buying/planning software.
