Role overview

This position sits within People Operations and Talent Studio, where the focus is on creating AI-driven talent solutions that help Googlers succeed now and in the future. The role supports efforts to hire, develop, and retain employees while enabling leaders to make faster, better talent decisions. You will help shape a workforce that is flexible and ready for what comes next by using predictive talent intelligence and personalized career development tools. A key part of the work is also defining strategy for niche talent segments so the organization can continue to attract and keep critical expertise in a rapidly changing AI environment.

Location and application details

The role is based in New York, NY, and may also be located at the Playa Vista, CA campus. Key focus areas

  • Shape the strategy and business needs for AI-based talent products that serve multiple user types such as managers, leaders, and HR teams.
  • Spot and rank opportunities that improve talent tools across different employee journeys.
  • Take promising AI prototypes and develop them into scalable enterprise solutions for a global workforce.
  • Turn unclear user needs and broad strategy into detailed business requirements, functional specs, and user journey maps for product, design, and engineering partners.
  • Own products across the full lifecycle, act as a trusted advisor and spokesperson, and use user feedback and data to refine strategy quickly.

Minimum qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in Business Administration, Product Management, Human Resources, or a related area.
  • At least 10 years of experience in product strategy, product management, business administration, HR strategy, talent management, or management consulting.
  • Background working across HR and product teams on programs.
  • Experience creating AI-enabled tools for employees or consumers.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience leading products end to end, from concept through delivery, with ownership of success metrics and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to turn user research and insights into product requirements or digital solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering or operations teams and demonstrating strong technical understanding.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management and modern product development practices.
  • Awareness of major trends in talent and career development.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and help drive alignment on design and product choices.

Compensation and benefits

The stated US compensation range is $219,000 to $306,000 annually, plus a 25% bonus target, equity, and benefits. Pay is influenced by role-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Eligible US-based employees may receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; a 401(k) with company match; 20 days of vacation per year during the first five years of employment, accruing at 6.15 hours per pay period; sick time of 40 hours per year, increased to 69 hours per year for Seattle, plus 5 discretionary sick days per instance; maternity leave through short-term disability and baby bonding for 28 to 30 weeks; 18 weeks of baby bonding leave; and 13 paid holidays annually.
