Role overview
This position is centered on financial operations and will be a key part of keeping accounting records accurate and the month-end close process on schedule as the company expands. In addition to core bookkeeping and finance duties, the role will support special initiatives such as corporate governance, investor documentation, and broader business needs as priorities shift. It suits someone with deep experience in accounting or financial operations who enjoys variety, efficiency improvements, and working closely with a small team.

Responsibilities
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and month-end close work.
- Reconcile accounts and keep financial records accurate in Intacct.
- Track equity movements between Carta and Intacct, including updates to the investment tracker.
- Maintain the Box virtual data room for corporate records, investment files, and diligence documents.
- Coordinate vendor and legal contract processes with outside counsel, including equity administration vendor onboarding and paperwork related to the current funding round.
- Support C corporation conversion, governance materials, and other company-wide projects as needed.
- Manage vendors, subscriptions, office operations, and routine administrative tasks.
- Look for ways to improve processes through AI, automation, and stronger business workflows.
- Step in wherever needed to help keep the business moving forward.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional background.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations within a technology-focused, corporate, or professional services environment.
- Working familiarity with Intacct or a similar accounting system; Intacct experience is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to equity administration tools such as Carta, with cap table reconciliation experience considered a plus.
- Some experience with legal operations, contract handling, or data room administration; prior paralegal experience is not required.
- Advanced Microsoft 365 capability, including Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and related productivity tools.
- Practical use of AI and automation to improve workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Strong organization and project coordination skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Careful analytical thinking and excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and professional communication with employees, vendors, investors, and outside counsel.
- Independent, resourceful, and proactive, with the ability to adapt as priorities change.
