Overview
Redcliffe State High School is looking for an organised and proactive Business Manager (AO4) to oversee the school’s financial and facilities functions. In this position, you will work closely with the leadership team to help keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
The role involves support across budgeting, financial administration, procurement, asset oversight, maintenance planning, and facility projects. It suits someone who can juggle multiple priorities, work well with different stakeholders, and help maintain a positive environment for students and staff. This position reports to the Business Manager (AO7).
About the school
Redcliffe State High School has been part of the Redcliffe community since 1958 and serves around 1,450 students. The school follows the vision “Connect, Learn, Succeed - The Redcliffe Way” and promotes a strong sense of belonging for students, staff, and families.
The school operates across two campuses and features contemporary learning spaces, performing and creative arts areas, science laboratories, sporting facilities, and a Trade Training Centre. It offers a wide curriculum with academic, sporting, and cultural opportunities designed to help every student develop and succeed.
Role overview
In this role, you will help deliver corporate, administrative, and financial support services that underpin the school’s day-to-day operation. You will partner with the leadership team to manage budgets, finances, purchasing, payroll, asset control, maintenance programs, and facility-related projects, while also supporting ongoing improvement in school operations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver senior-level business and administrative support to help the school function effectively.
- Draft reports, correspondence, and recommendations, and handle complex administrative matters.
- Assist the Principal with budget planning, financial management, procurement, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate facilities, maintenance, minor works, and resource management to support safe school operations.
- Develop effective working relationships with staff, contractors, and the broader school community to provide strong business services.
- Use sound judgement, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative style when supporting the school community.
