Role overview
This position is for a Business Head to lead the warehousing vertical in Bangalore. The role is centered on end-to-end ownership of the business, with a strong emphasis on profit and loss management, strategic planning, execution, and overall operational performance.

The hiring organization is a rapidly growing logistics solutions provider offering dependable, customer-focused services across air and ocean freight, warehousing, ground transport, and both on-site and off-site support. The company handles more than 100,000 shipments every year, operates across 150 locations worldwide, and is supported by a team of over 200 employees.
Core focus of the role
The incumbent will take responsibility for the full warehousing business portfolio, including strategy creation and rollout, business development, go-to-market assessment, operations, quality, maintenance, supply chain, product pricing, and customer service. The role requires deep domain expertise and leadership experience in logistics and warehousing.
Key deliverables
- Develop short-term and long-term business plans in coordination with the strategy and finance teams.
- Drive business expansion and improve production and turnover while being directly accountable for the business P&L.
- Assess demand and supply trends to support planning and growth decisions.
- Support the strategy team in identifying and evaluating new growth opportunities in the warehousing segment.
- Track competition continuously and adjust sales pricing based on market conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, government departments, and local authorities.
- Oversee profitability, technical services, capital expenditure, operating expenditure, project execution, and contract negotiations.
- Manage supply chain performance, process efficiency, research and development, and new product development initiatives.
- Ensure all internal and external requirements related to safety, environment, and statutory compliance are met.
- Introduce modern technologies and innovative solutions into project execution and business operations.
Experience and reporting structure
The role requires 15 to 20 years of experience and reports to the Directors.
Education
A bachelor’s degree is mandatory. An MBA, PGDM, or master’s qualification will be considered a strong advantage.
Desired knowledge and skills
- Strong background in the logistics sector with a leadership-track career.
- Detailed understanding of warehousing operations and business dynamics.
- Exposure to pan-India markets is an added advantage.
