Role Summary
The position entails serving as a Business Finance Partner with over seven years of specialized experience in business finance. This role demands active leadership in managing and co-owning the Profit & Loss statement of a designated Business Unit (BU) alongside the BU leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Jointly manage the BU's Profit & Loss, overseeing financial outcomes and implementing measures to achieve budget objectives.
- Lead the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment of BU plans with broader corporate financial strategies.
- Collaborate closely with business teams to deliver financial insights and advisory on pivotal business opportunities and capital allocation.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives, engage with vendors for negotiation, and promote operational efficiencies.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, perform variance analyses, and provide transparent updates on BU financial health.
- Enhance financial procedures and uphold adherence to internal controls and company policies.
- Coordinate effectively with finance and operational departments to address business challenges systematically.
Qualifications and Skills
- Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Between 7 and 9 years of professional experience in finance business partnering with direct P&L ownership responsibility.
- Expertise in financial modelling and analysis, including advanced Excel capabilities.
- Proficiency with MySQL databases and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio.
- Strong skills in communication, presentation, and negotiation, essential for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
