About the Role
This role is a Business Division Manager position located in Doha, Qatar, specifically Ras Laffan. It is a contract employment opportunity with a 36-month duration. The successful candidate will lead and oversee all commercial and project-related aspects of the LNG North Field Expansion Projects, specifically EPC-3/4/BOP segments, ensuring alignment with stakeholders to achieve project goals in terms of quality, cost efficiency, and timeline adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive business operations including EPC contract oversight, non-EPC contracts, CAPEX procurement, startup commercial agreements, planning, scheduling, project controls, reporting, and change management activities for the LNG North Field Expansion Projects EPC-3/4/BOP.
- Drive project performance by actively monitoring KPIs, generating exception reports, and managing action registers to resolve critical issues collaboratively with functional managers and contractors.
- Coordinate alignment across multiple sub-project teams, manage interface agreements, and mitigate risks from underperforming interfaces to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop and present project performance data to stakeholders, maintaining transparency and facilitating informed decision-making.
- Lead and inspire multidisciplinary internal teams across various functional areas to contribute proactively towards project objectives.
- Facilitate cross-functional integration with departments such as Operations Expansion and Support, Engineering and Project Services, Performance and Delivery, Shared Services, Finance, and Legal.
- Ensure compliance with the Company LNG Project Management System by managing deliverables, coordinating gate reviews, and resolving findings.
- Oversee the Operations Readiness Plan, monitor deliverables, and conduct periodic reviews to address concerns promptly.
- Manage change management processes, including analysis and recommendations related to change orders and associated risks.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for steering committees, technical committees, tender committees, and planning reviews in coordination with the Onshore Business Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Business, Accounting, Commercial, Marketing, Sciences, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Law, Communication, Technologies, Mathematics, or Statistics.
Experience and Expertise
- A minimum of 12 years’ experience in relevant business functions, including at least 8 years within the oil and gas sector.
- At least 3 years in supervisory roles or experience managing contractors, subcontractors, or service/vendor personnel.
- Proven background in project execution environments within the oil and gas industry, familiar with project management, engineering, cost control, planning, and scheduling.
- Experience managing large-scale greenfield projects with multiple EPC contracts and execution teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project gating systems, risk and change management, interface management, commissioning, and project handover procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work within large integrated operating organizations and sub-teams.
- Prior work experience within Qatar or the broader Middle East region is preferred.
