Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Business Development Representative to drive our sales initiatives within the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. This role demands proactive management of inbound and outbound sales projects, aiming to strategically close impactful deals and fuel company growth. Reporting directly to the leadership team, you will be responsible for generating qualified leads, managing the entire sales cycle, and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle sales from prospecting and account targeting through to successfully closing deals.
  • Identify promising leads across various sectors including startups, growth-stage tech companies, and local businesses seeking scalable customer acquisition.
  • Design and implement innovative outbound campaigns using tools like Clay and Lemlist, melding data insights and creativity.
  • Engage with decision-makers utilizing multi-channel communication strategies such as cold calls, personalized emails, LinkedIn, and social selling approaches.
  • Quickly qualify and convert inbound leads by building trust and establishing long-term client partnerships.
  • Consistently meet or surpass monthly revenue and performance objectives with support from a growth-oriented team.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Operations to refine messaging and ensure smooth client onboarding experiences.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed CRM records to enable reliable sales forecasting and transparency.
  • Stay well-informed on the ANZ market landscape, tailoring outreach strategies to local business trends and sharing insights to improve products and sales methodologies.
  • Travel occasionally to meet clients in person and strengthen business relationships.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A proven track record with 2 to 3 years or more experience in business development or sales, managing entire sales processes from cold prospecting to deal closure.
  • Strong outbound sales skills, including cold calling, strategic email campaigns, and social selling expertise.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities, capable of establishing trust quickly and closing deals confidently.
  • Deep knowledge of the ANZ media buying ecosystem and awareness of regional business trends.
  • Experience with CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) and proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Hands-on use of outbound automation platforms such as Clay and Lemlist.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and reporting dashboards to enhance workflow efficiency and forecasting accuracy.
  • Ability work collaboratively across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure a cohesive client experience.
  • Willingness and availability to travel as necessary for business development purposes.
  • Educational background in Business, Marketing, Sales, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degrees are advantageous.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary coupled with an uncapped commission structure rewarding top performers.
  • Employer superannuation contributions starting at 11.5%, increasing to 12% by July 2026.
  • Opportunity to participate in company equity or stock options subject to a one-year cliff vesting period.
  • Flexible hybrid working model with options to work from company hubs or remotely.
  • Respect for work-life boundaries with no expectation of after-hours contact except for genuine emergencies.
  • Periodic remote work weeks allowing work from various locations within ANZ or globally.
  • Four weeks of annual leave plus one additional day for birthdays and special wellbeing days to support mental health.
  • Two paid volunteer days annually to engage with charitable causes of personal importance.
