Position overview
Diehl Defence is looking for a Business Development Manager for the European Defence environment. In this role, you will help shape future development, procurement, and investment projects in line with the company’s strategic direction, while supporting growth across European markets.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate upcoming development, procurement, and investment initiatives based on Diehl Defence’s strategy.
- Assess market opportunities and risks, qualify EU and NATO opportunities, and contribute to business growth in Europe.
- Prepare country, competition, and market analyses.
- Maintain and expand strategic and operational networks within NATO and the EU, including active opportunity capturing.
- Drive cooperation efforts with European industry and research organizations in Brussels to build long-term international partnerships.
Candidate profile
- Completed degree in economics, business administration, political science, law, industrial engineering, or a similar field.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Strong willingness to travel to Brussels and across Europe.
- Well-established network within the EU and/or NATO, the German Armed Forces, and Ukraine.
- Very strong organizational and analytical abilities, including the skill to translate complex topics into clear decision-making inputs.
- Several years of experience in business development.
- Confident negotiation skills.
