Job description

Role overview

Kiwibank is looking for a Business Analyst to support Treasury with liquidity-related change initiatives that improve regulatory confidence and contribute to long-term, sustainable growth. This fixed-term role runs for 12 months and can be based in Auckland or Wellington. It offers the chance to work on important, complex delivery work while being part of a culture that values both performance and wellbeing.

What you will do

You will contribute to liquidity initiatives from the earliest discovery stage through to design, testing and handover into business as usual. The work involves partnering with Treasury, Finance, Financial Risk, Regulatory Change and Data Transformation teams to turn business, regulatory, technical, data and operational needs into well-defined, traceable solutions. Your efforts will support compliant, durable and data-led outcomes, while strengthening liquidity data quality and helping the bank deliver change successfully.

What you bring

The team is seeking a delivery-minded analyst who is comfortable navigating complexity and working closely with a wide range of stakeholders. You should bring practical experience in business analysis, requirements work and process understanding, along with the ability to turn varied inputs into structured outcomes.

  • Background in discovery work, process analysis and writing clear requirements
  • Ability to convert business, regulatory, technical and data needs into actionable solutions
  • Solid delivery discipline, including planning and prioritising in project or change settings
  • Experience analysing data, including critical data elements, data quality and data lineage
  • Strong facilitation, problem-solving and communication skills
  • A collaborative approach, curiosity and care when driving meaningful change

Benefits and workplace support

  • Flexible ways of working
  • Wellbeing support
  • Generous leave benefits
  • Opportunity to build long-term capability through meaningful work
