Role overview
Kiwibank is looking for a Contact Centre Representative to join its frontline team supporting customers with everyday banking needs. This role is based at the Highbrook location and follows a Monday to Friday roster from 11:30am to 8:00pm. The salary for this position is $62,500.
What you will do
You will assist customers across phone and digital channels, helping with a wide range of enquiries and providing practical solutions. The role involves handling a high volume of daily interactions and supporting customers through both routine and sensitive situations.
- Speak with around 50 to 60 customers each day through phone and digital channels.
- Help with general banking requests such as opening new accounts and credit card applications.
- Guide customers through difficult matters, including fraud cases and financial hardship support.
- Deliver a professional, timely, and positive customer experience.
What makes you a good fit
Success in this role comes from experience in busy service environments, confidence across digital and phone-based support, and the ability to learn systems quickly. You should be comfortable asking the right questions, understanding the wider customer context, and recommending solutions that are genuinely useful.
- Background in customer service within fast-paced or demanding settings.
- Experience supporting people by phone and through digital communication.
- Ability to pick up new information, tools, and systems quickly.
- Strong judgement, curiosity, and confidence in offering suitable solutions.
Work setup and key conditions
- Monday to Friday roster, 11:30am to 8:00pm.
- Highbrook-based role with 2 days in the office each week.
- Fibre internet connection is required.
- You must have a private and confidential workspace for home-based work.
- A clean criminal record and credit history are essential.
